Check-in
Prepare passengers and vehicles for their departure by checking the booking and the details your operation requires.
Explore Check-inGive the departure team a practical way to check tickets for the sailing they are boarding. Keep ticket control connected to the booking rather than a separate paper-only list.
Choose the relevant service in the ticket-control app, then scan the passenger ticket. Staff need to read the result and resolve exceptions before allowing boarding.
Most passengers arrive with the expected ticket. Some arrive for a different departure or need a booking correction. Give the scanning team a clear next action for each result: continue the ordinary control process or refer the passenger to someone authorised to resolve the booking. The same procedure should work for a ticket on a phone and a printed document.
A paid booking and a boarding decision are different events. A ticket can belong to another departure or require staff review. Define which team resolves those cases and how changes are communicated to the boarding point.
Use a short working procedure for the normal scan, a missing ticket and a changed booking. Test the devices and connection at the actual boarding location, not just in the office.
Ticket control is available on iOS and Android. The iOS app also supports ticket sales. Confirm the device and workflow requirements for each boarding position.
