CUSTOMER STORY
At Schweizerische Bodensee-Schifffahrt, a slow ticket sale was an everyday operational problem. The search for a replacement system focused on making selection and printing simpler for the staff serving passengers at the counter.
The original SBS account describes nine vessels and a programme of ferry routes, scheduled services, experience cruises, charters and special trips. Around 30 staff used the ticketing and sales system during the season. A quick, structured service at the counter was central to that operation.
Long printing times and complicated selection processes delayed sales, particularly on busy days. The existing system no longer met the needs described by SBS. The company deliberately looked for a replacement that would make ticket sales quicker and easier.
SBS chose Travelmanager for its shipping-industry focus, flexibility to accommodate individual requirements and emphasis on clear sales processes. The point was to improve the actual path from selecting a ticket to completing the sale.

Simpler operation helped employees get to grips with the system. Katja Wimmer particularly values that ease of use and its fit with the needs of passenger shipping.
SBS reports faster sales handling, especially when demand is high. The original account describes a clearer, more pleasant process for guests and the team.
