Match capacity to the traffic you carry.

Capacity checks use the limits and booking rules configured for your service.

Vessel and sailing limits. Passenger capacity is based on the assigned vessel, with route-specific limits and capacity adjustments for individual sailings.
Passenger places and vehicle space. In ferry setups configured for length-based booking, required vehicle length is checked separately from passenger availability.
Checks before saving. With passenger capacity checking enabled, a new booking that requests more places than available is stopped with a message before it is saved.

How reservations affect availability

Do provisional reservations always use capacity?

No. Unconfirmed provisional reservations can be configured not to consume capacity. Other capacity-consuming bookings are recorded when they are saved.
