Ferry Booking & Ticketing Software

Define the fare rule before automating the change.

Define how ferry fares may change by season, channel or other agreed rules. Automated demand-based pricing needs a specific scope; it is not implied by ordinary tariff configuration.

Separate fare rules from optimisation

Different fares for ticket categories or seasons are not the same as an algorithm that changes prices as demand changes. Identify which approach you need and what data should drive the decision.

Actual ticket article configuration in Travelmanager

A seasonal fare is not a demand engine

A higher summer tariff follows a date rule. A price that changes with remaining capacity follows a different decision process. Both need clear commercial boundaries, but the latter also needs a confirmed automation or integration scope. Describe the trigger, the affected products and the treatment of bookings already in progress.

  • Name the signal that changes the price
  • Define the permitted price range
  • Keep completed bookings and amendments explainable

Make a price explainable

Specify the applicable route, date, products and sales channel. Agree when the price is fixed during a booking and what happens if the traveller changes a journey.

Assess advanced rules in a project

If you need occupancy thresholds, automatic price changes or an external revenue-management system, describe those requirements explicitly. Our team will confirm the available configuration or integration work before making an offer.
