Cars, trailers, camper vans and freight vehicles can require different booking information. Define categories, dimensions and fare inputs for each service. Ask for trailer details where they affect the space needed.
Adding a trailer changes the booking even if the number of passengers remains unchanged. The configured vehicle fields must describe the combination being carried. Staff then review the relevant vehicle-space requirement and fare for each sailing. A passenger availability figure alone cannot answer whether that combination fits the configured vehicle limit.
In ferry setups configured for length-based booking, required vehicle length is checked separately from available passenger places. A departure can still have passenger places available when the vehicle space needed for a particular booking is unavailable.
A vehicle substitution or added trailer may change the space requirement and fare. Review the booking against the new details before confirming the amendment. Operational loading decisions remain the responsibility of the ferry team.
